You can feel confident that your support of Trillium Kids will help enrich the lives of special needs and medically fragile children, as well as their families. We continue to provide needed assistance to some of our most needy children with both food and gifts throughout the year. Since 2018, Trillium Kids, Inc has been able to:
  • Continue efforts to grant Mini-Wishes to children with a short life expectancy.
  • Supply gift cards and hotel vouchers to families in need to assist in long distance medical consult trips to places such as Stanford, UCSF and UCSD/Rady San Diego, as well as prolonged hospitalization at Valley Children’s Hospital.
  • Assisted with rent and utility bills when there are no other community options.
  • Assisted in the purchase of medical equipment that insurance will not cover, as well as transferring gently used equipment and supplies from one family to another in need.
  • Assisted with funeral costs for four of our children that we lost.
  • Partnered with the non-profit organization, Sweet Nectars Society (sweetnectarsociety.org), to develop a special needs child/parent grief support group that started in May 2018.
  • We are also working on developing a home/school visitation-based program where a therapist will work to support the siblings of these kids as their needs are often overlooked due to the demanding needs of the more medically fragile child.
  • We wrote and published the very first illustrated, age appropriate, booklet to explain pediatric palliative care (with JUMOHealth).
  • Along with all of the on-going efforts to support the children and families within Trillium Kids, Inc., we are enhancing our website so that parents of the children can link to basic information as well as helpful information specific to their diagnosis. We utilize our Trillium Kids Patient ambassadors with screened links in an attempt to help parents actively guide their child’s care, and link parents to other parents with children facing the same challenges.

Trillium Kids, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization and your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your generous financial donation.
